Coffee. Waiting for the guy I need to meet with to get back from break. Looking like no work tomorrow! Can't wait for some hbs tonight

I don't believe there's a more beautiful-looking IPA than Big Eye.

Had one too many Flower Power on lunch with the boss; just leaned in to read a detail on an assembly. Forgot I could roll my mouse to zoom in. Funk yeah Friday.

I wouldn't want to go shooting in my back yard with you after you drink. You obviously scare me. :D I, however, hit the bulls-eye every time with a buzz. It's great.

water with lunch -

so im trying to figure out this irish red recipie, i think i have 2 options, either brew with victory and do a decoction or brew with victory and no decoction.

im leaning towards decoction becuase from what i understand the melanoiden adds the decoction flavor with doing said decoction... do i have this right?

By Friday, I'm so sick of CAD it all goes out the window beer or not. That makes me want to pull out my longbow this weekend though. It's been a while.

Coffee just to fill the void for the next 3 hours before I can drink for real.

You see, by Friday, I'm so sick and tired of brewing during the week that I brew on Fridays. And because brewing so often is a pain in the ass, I drink heavily on the weekends to make myself feel better. I then repeat the cycle that following Monday. Life is awesome.

:D

A cornish beer called Doom Bar. I really like it, nicely hoppy & malty. On the downside, think I have another throat infection starting, its just beginning to feel like I am trying to swallow rocks.

Obama is on TV preaching free community college before anything about the lives lost in France. What an *******. Ruined my day.

A quick question to those who have entered brewing competitions. I'm entering my first one ,entries due March 2nd. Gonna do a red ale somewhere in the 5-6% range. What do you suggest when it comes to bottling. 1. Measure out bottling sugar for each bottle you plan on entering. 2. Measure for bulk 5 gal and just set aside a few. 3. Keg it then bottle from keg?

Water trying to talk dog into just staying inside and forgo walk today. I hate winter

I'd go with the bottling off the keg route. It will help your beer be clearer and virtually eliminate any bottle sediment the judge might accidentally pour in. Most judges know to pour carefully for that reason, but I've seen an occasional judge pour poorly.

Coff. Trying to wake myself up, but might take a nap instead.

You already know what I would suggest: DRINK INSTEAD

Tastes better than it looks. Just sayin'. :D

For anyone that has a few minutes to read. This is from the father, who's son owns one of my towns' breweries, OEC: http://nepenthiology.com/fermentation-pit-project-part-ii

He's an awesome and intelligent dude. I haven't had the chance to crush a beer with him although I have met him about a dozen times.

Here is the man, the myth, behind the counter at his son's brewery, OEC.

Cool project. Only recently realized the connection between OEC & B. United. Cool resources to have at your disposal as a new brewery.

With 1500 vip members up first, that leaves like no tickets for anyone else. I was excited it was coming back, but doubt I'll be able to go. It does include 4 bottles, a glass and food.

Exactly, it just became a El Catador party. It doesn't address what they are doing with the rest of the bottles, hopefully they hit distro and it's not going to be El Cat members with 40 bottles each

To make this simple: Ben (brewmaster/owner of OEC = that guy's article who happens to be his dad and owns BUnited, which is next door to OEC).

I get absolutely no peaches in the aroma or flavor. Zero peaches.

I brewed a brett golden strong with bugs to compare to this. While mine isn't as tart, the peach instantly hits the nose and is there on the palette.

It's almost time to try that DeGarde peach Berliner.

I need the bottle. that symbol the fleur de lis is every where in my house. I will gladly pay you for the bottle and shipping if you send me one.
