Just finished a bottle of "Tank 7" by Boulevard Brewing Co. and just cracked open a mini keg of Newcastle. Which I have to admit is much better out of the mini-keg than it is in the bottle!

I miss Bitter Valentine. I got to have it once and it was fantastic. Punched me in the face with grapefruit.

2013 bottle. This is going to need to warm up some, but it's definitely smoother than when I had it a year ago. The alcohol heat has faded a lot and the coffee, chocolate and bourbon notes are coming out very nicely. If this was what we got when it was released it would be worth the hype.

If you're going to be in or passing through Springfield, there's a great bottle shop in West Springfield called Table and Vine. One of the best shops I've ever been to.

Nice! I'll be checking that out soon.
