It makes working late easier to take...

Ouch, late night? Hope you're not commuting tomorrow.

Drinking DCHokie's Sour Dark Saison. I think the sheet he gave me has more info, but to me it tastes like a Flanders Bruin / Saison hybrid. Very enjoyable, easy to drink, pleasantly tart, not overly complex, but also not a one-trick-pony. Good beer! Thanks Ryan!

No - the one plus side to the insane hours I've been putting in is that I haven't had to make the commute in a month now.

Tired Hands posted pics of them zesting and juicing a bunch of citrus today. Not exactly seasonal, but they were working at the table we sat at. I had so much fun that day! Can't wait to get back up there, would really like to make it an annual trip.

I saw ... and I really, really wanted to reply and say I would love to come down and help zest! ... sigh. One of these days they will post that and I will just call in sick :D

Anytime you are thinking of coming up, let me know!

'These men are cowards' my funky blackberry stout. Haven't had this in about 2 months. It was drinking nicely soon after I bottled it still, but it's getting a little spritzy and that's kicking the acidity up a notch. I feel like it's in transition right now, I'm thinking the last few bottles will be very different and very good in another 6 months.

Cause I'd posted the lucky 13 earlier... no worries but check this out bud. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=417579

Lagaunitas bombers are crazy cheap here (well, in asheville). Hop Stoopid is under $4, most are a few dimes less.

You get a starter going?

My farmhouse black IPA or whatever stupid thing it is. This beer has really grown on me. Brewed at a campground for Big Brew this year with Galaxy and Topaz that a friend gave me because he didn't like them, a bunch of leftover grains, and umpeenth generation blended saison yeast.

Yup did about 1.5 liter or so 1.020 starter.. smells a bit off today tho.. crossing my fingers that it works out.

2.9% saison on the left that I brewed. And a sample of my Brett saison from primary... little bastard is full on tart with a nice background of barnyard... perfect! I bought a corker... now I just need bottles and corks... lol

I just finished off the last of their ESB yesterday. I need to go get some more soon...

Hops are way understated (maybe old - tough to tell when they don't date the bottle.) Not bad but there are many better. Thanks tripplehazzard :mug:

It could be old. I actually had not seen that one before. They make it hard to tell.. . Tried to get you a good selection to choose from. Aka. Build a six. :) :mug: :tanked: reach for the hop czar

My hard root beer before heading to bed. Great day at New Holland but gotta get planning for brew day later this week since I got to pick the brain of a couple brewmasters today for a little inspiration.
