Eliot Ness Amber Lager by Great Lakes Brewing

Tried the first bottle of HB amber ale, after 2 weeks conditioning. Pilsner, Vienna, a little 2-row I had on hand, some wheat malt, and a touch of choc malt. Bittered with Citra, and Zappa late boil. Pitched Notty. I had better than expected efficiency and a bit more boiloff, so at 5.6%, I can't call it a lawnmower beer.

Imperial lawnmower beer. :p

Not too shabby.

I just can’t get enough German Pilsner. Or Pils, I suppose, that verbiage is used quite a bit in the South. Hey, Einbeck is in the North though! The Town of Einbeck is actually known for originating Bock beer. I am perplexed...

Einbecker has been satisfying the thirst of parched Deutsches Volk since 1378, they must be doing something right! Last time I had their fine Brauherren Pils it came in those dinky and pathetic 12 ounce cans. Glad that today’s brew is coming in 16 ouncers. I say, keep it coming... how about 500 ml? 22 ounce? 24 ounce, yeah! It’s that good!

Einbecker brews this tasty rendition with Herkules and Magnum Noble hops. I know they weren’t using those in 1378, so I say progress can be good, VERY GOOD! At 4.9% ABV, it’s right on target. The can alludes to an “abundant white head” - I could’t raise much of a head when I was pouring, and I was definitely trying to for the snapshot. Snapshot, heh. I guess I can’t use “photograph.” Maybe image? Photo? Pic? BOOMER! Prost…..

Farm stands can sell beer now? Cool! :mug:
Hell yea! There's another brewery that just opened close by. I'm losing count of close breweries. They're doing a popup at one of the oldest farmstands in Mass. The farm is from 1781 and I can waddle home thru the fields and my woods to my house.

It truly is still a small farm. Some good pix on their acct. There's plenty of places that do buck a shuck but I may have to support my neighbors :)When the brewery comes to you!

Just when I think I’ve finished off my last delicious Mission Brewing's beers, one more shows of from the depths of my cold locker (‘fridge)! Hey, like I said, I don't bend over... Mission Brewing Blonde Ale!

Drinking just like a Kolsch, something is going on here – Ah, now I get it. Brewed with Noble Hops, this tantalizing brewski has fantastic flavor and really hits the spot on these hot summer days! Like a Kolsch, the Noble hops really make this beer a standout. 5.0% ABV is perfect for this style - I may need to make a trip down to Baron’s for the remainder of the case before the rest of the horde finds out… Great beer, you will enjoy!

1st 10min of Axel -F, love it already! Working on the ratios but that Ocho Tequila is really good and smooth, more of a sipping tequila... whatever.

Dogs miss the wife I think. She's enjoying the Oregon coast far away from the fires I hope. Oh, I also tried the Jim Koch thing of having yogurt and bread yeast to help drunkenness. Had 9 shots of tequila and a pour of 11.5% beer in 4 hours. Feel great!! 👍 Party of one..ish!
