That sucks @Remmy . Hang in there and enjoy the rest of your vacation. The real world can always wait for you to return home. Keep your head up, you have a lovely (if not blurry) wife and kid with you at the beach with a cooler full of beer while the rest of us are getting our tanning in under the warm glow of flourescent lighting.

And remember if things should get tight, you have sent beer out to many on here, we can keep you drinking (dont know if its possible to keep you smacked) in the meantime.

Thanks. I'm am more of a guy who thinks about the worst that can happen and prepare for it rather than thinking everything will turn out fine from the get go. If it turns out fine, I consider that a huge, huge bonus.
I'm having a bottle of water and smashing a bag of Doritos. I almost cringed at the grocery bill today. That's what frame of mind I'm in right now.

Yes, that's the wife and kids. Thong bathing suits are **** so I am not posting her backside here.

If it's any consolation, I'm drinking some of what I bought to send you because I'm working on an idea for something MUCH better.

I say that every time I have to revise a quote based on an engineers revised drawings based on an end user who can't make up their minds.

I'm very involved with a company that is in between the OEM and end user. Often times the OEM engineers and the end user get together and come up with plans for an ideal part. They send us the prints and we tell them, "that's a beautiful part...but it can't be made to those specs unless you want to pay 10x what a 'nearly perfect' part would cost you with a more standard pressure angle". Back to the drawing board they go...

Damn @Remmy that sucks...

If it makes you feel any better, I'm not getting laid off my day job, but I do have to take a 10% pay cut...I need full time brewing work now. Where I'm still taking a paycut, but w/out the bollocks. Since the place I'm supposed to be working that allegedly hired me seems to have no intention of actually starting me with any work, I'm looking elsewhere...

Moved on to my English Cider. Looks ugly. Tastes awesome. Hooray pectin haze (so I'm told).

The biggest frustration here is that the person in question, works in the office next to me. She'll bs about her kids all day then give me this massive project at 3pm. I'll bust my ass to get it all done then she'll LOL her way over to my office saying she forgot something. Multiple times.

My death glare must be losing its power.

Sorry to hear the news Remmy. Hopefully this brings about a new, better opportunity for you and your family.

It sucks. Even drinking doesn't help. First full day of vacation. But everything I had heard of 2 weeks ago was 100% true. From the deal to the lay-off date. I know why people kill themselves sometimes. **** can get really depressing.

Eh, life sucks, but it's always better than the alternative. Good luck on the job search, but let that **** wait til after your vacation.

Time to go home. Yippee!

Just got home from spring break in Myrtle Beach. Tried some brews from New South Brewing, Coast Brewing, and Palmetto Brewing while we were there. Drove through Chicago today and picked up some brews, excited to be home and try them. Nothing rare but mostly new ones to me. Sadly I missed out on ZD at FFF by about 2 hours. Some other time.

"Stale milk" my ass. Damned judges tried to claim this was infected. Of course, they also claimed to perceive both peat smoke and alcoholic strength, which are both completely ludicrous (the beer's literally 2.5%). So either judges are incompetent, or the comp swapped bottles. Could be either one. Can't be definitive from the other comments provided...

Wow...delicious but could really use another week in the keg. Didn't try to coax the head much.
