I got a hefty gift card from the boss to our huge, pretentious beer store today. Looks like it might be time to try some of the beers I wouldn't normally afford that you guys always talk about.

Brew Days are harder at my age, especially when it's cold. Joints ache more. & the 2XIPA with voska when my day was done didn't help with hot dogs & tater tots mixed in with that. Still trying to get up the gumption to clean up after said brew day. Feelin' like 10 miles of bad road atm.

Don't go crazy. Some aren't worth the hype. I'm sure you know that. :p

It's only 22F inside my garage. Heating strike water.

Thankfully, I feel fine. I'm due for the flu, though. But, for now, I'll take a pint of beer. Yeah, I'm that guy.

I'm probably due for the mother of all flus. Haven't had the flu in about 16 years. Have caught some other nasty stuff in the meantime, but not the flu. I'm sure it's coming.

I've heard, but I have heard a lot of things on this site. Hell, if you look at the 'what craft beer do you despise' thread and add everything up... none of it is worth the hype.

Someone told me New Glarus is a must try before I die. That might be hard to argue.

Last cold drops of morning coffee.

I don't know what's going on anymore. Say the word "snow" and the whole world shuts down.

2". Schools closed. Nobody on the roads.

How is that - I've been tempted many times but the stuff I've had has been all over the place and the coffee scares me.

It was ok. A bit sweet.

My 4-yr. old just doughed-in for me. This is the best day ever. It was ****ing awesome.

Have fun at premier! That huge gift card may get you a beer or two there haha

Second cup of coffee on appointment #3 of the day. Still have more work to do, a staff meeting  then son has a hockey game and cub scout meeting tonight. Is it beer-30 yet?

Yeah man. I can either buy a few beers or a $100 spoon that, scoops...things... but is made out of some super exotic wood, that looks neat.. or something. Hoorah for scouts!

<- Eagle scout

Oh and... tomato soup, right? You can't really eat it. So yeah, that's what I'm drinking.

Dialed-in the right serving pressure although my regulator (gauge) is flocced-up. Carb got way better and no more foam.

I'm afraid this keg will be gone by the end of this week. Yikes. I loved brewing and opening a bottle of home brew. But I totally love tapping the keg and pouring off of it. Makes me feel better about my accomplishments. :p Any of you pansies drinking today?

I've seen you mention the air cast, but I must've missed when you posted what happened. So, what happened? And, yes, I care. Surprising isn't it. ;)

Haha well, I was jogging...oddly. I figured I dropped 38 pounds so during my little 2-3 mile walk with dog, I'd jog a little. Two weeks after I started that, I jogged about 15', stepped off a curb and felt pain. I waited a week before I saw anyone and that was only after I spent a day painting and laying flooring and such before my mom arrived. I'm ready for it to come off but the pain suggests I may be in for some disappointing news. I'm hoping not though. And people care! I know that. :)

No drinks while I wait for the doctor and watch this woman doing laps in the office with her walker. I'm more amused than I should be.

Keep going once your ankle is better. Don't let that **** stop you. If you don't ever want to run, just change your diet and you'll see a significant drop in body fat and weight even without running. Running is for the birds. Ok, enough Dr. Oz. F that guy, anyway.

That's sucks. Well, I hope you get good news. If not today, then soon. Hope you heal up quickly.

Bottled water.
Damn water department turned off the water in the neighborhood to work on something I assume. They do this crap way too often and never bother to send a notice when it will be off. Wish I could afford to have a well dug. Looks like I'll be whizzing outside til they turn the water back on. @bucknuts head would probably explode. :D
They better be glad I decided not to brew today. Someone from the water dept. probably would've lost their life if I ran out of water midway through brew day.

Me too. Now if only a 1 pm appointment that I was 15 minutes early for really meant 1 pm. :-(

Maybe I'm cranky today.

I lol poor @bucknuts and his no pee outside rule.

Speaking of pissed, turns out the electrical quote I got doesn't involve permitting. What electrician in their right mind would give a home owner a quote for a new breaker and new electrical and figure a permit should be left up to me? They never mentioned a permit at all.

The Permit wont be too much, maybe a couple hundred bucks tops. We just got a permit for a $100,000 reno and it was only $700. Our cities permit prices go by the cost of the build so hopefully your does as well.

If you DIY you don't need a permit ;)

Dr. Pepper. F*** this snow. Just enough to make my life miserable. Make my day longer and colder and bring on the damned trenchfoot.

You can make my life better and move back to Britain.

To stay on topic before I get off topic...Cola with lunch.

HAPPY TWO-SHOE TUESDAY!!!!

I have a brace but I get to wear two shoes. With physical therapy, I should get out of this surgery free. He said there's a chance but he wasn't worried. I'll actually go to PT like I am supposed to for once. :D
Best thing is I can walk the dog again! I am excited.

haha! I lost 150 pounds without jogging a single inch. I just figured I'd do it but not again. Walking was doing me just fine. It was more just to have a way to clear my head everyday and the dog surely benefitted.

Someone said $75, who knows. The guy was right about a permit but he could be wrong on the price. Some guy quoted me $1200 for the job, which is much higher than the other quote but that other one didn't include a permit. I'm just waiting for the company to return my email and talk to me about the job again. The shed will be here within the week I think.
If you DIY you don't need a permit ;)
I'm almost inclined to do that but I need a spa panel in the shed that will run 240 and 120 off of that. The window a/c supposedly needs 20a, but I'm struggling to accept that since it was in my bedroom window plugged into a 15a outlet without absolutely no issues. Then I need a chest freezer and I will have a floor fan or a ceiling fan. Not to mention an old iPhone set up as a security camera and I assume some form of entertainment. I need at least two outlets and then the one 240.

Sorry @coldcrash. :)

Water. Hey, @Hello and @mattmille - did you see that DuClaw just announced they are distributing to NC?

Yup. My shop that I frequent gets their bottles Today or Friday. Probably today. I found out about 4 weeks ago. They were supposed to hit before Spencer did actually. I'm excited.

Is that a bad thing? I'm sort of surprised i'm all alone on this subject. I only have a couple rules.
1) dispose of bodily waste only in a location where you can properly sanitize
2) everything in the pantry must be Alphabetized with the labels facing out. Like this:

Other than that I'm a free spirit.
