Last time I did I was told to stick to the topic because we were talking about my cellar. I won't do that again. Oops.

Been taking a long hiatus from drinking to get a little more focused on school and work. Tonight was the night to crack so here goes. First up is an IPL from a local brewery under new ownership that is doing some fantastic stuff.

To lazy to look at previous post but finally getting around to BCBG saison. Right?

Tastey. Light crisp. Some barnyard/funk on the nose. Not too much in the taste but it's there. Not bad. I'll finish this and see if I suggest anything to change.

Mine? Yea it was a saison with Sorachi/motueka/Nelson.

Grain bill was the cottage house saison from this site, sans honey

Oh and I finally finished a glass of my gushy coffee brown. A few more bottles of that to power thru.

Still hanging in for a bit. I'm drinking my 'Ron Burgundy' IPA while I peruse my leather bound books and enjoy the smell of rich mahogany.

What makes it a Ron burgundy IPA?

I'd have to say the Magnum hops. Don't act like you're not all impressed.

But seriously, I had kind of a nostalgic seventies memory that inspired the name. I was sort of inspired by my dad actually who I have memories of kind of being a bit of a Ron Burgundy during that era, wearing the suits and drinking good scotch. So, it's kind of a tribute.

You've been willpowering yourself through that keg for a few months now. How much do you have left?
Also heard good things about 6th day. Saw It in the shop but didn't have it on my radar that day. What, and how is it?
