Drinking a slightly tart lightly carbed HB Blackberry Cider. Very refreshing on a hot Texas evening enjoying nature's sights and sounds.

The Munich lager thing I made.

I think it’s been discussed somewhere along the lines before, but I’m too lazy to search for it… do you use a clarifier, and if you do, what is it?

OT:
I had to drive to Ft. Collins (130 miles each way) today for a doctor’s appointment. I hit one of the big liquor stores there that has a nice “pick 6” selection. I got a nice mixed six pack plus some extra goodies. One was a beer I’ve wanted to try for a very long time and might crack open later.
Meanwhile, Tis the season for these now. Toppling Goliath Oktoberfest.

Okay, so I've tried every search I can think of on this site (obviously not very tech savvy). Where can I find the recipe for a drink that so many are enjoying?🤔🍻
Dig the fruit thing. Adds to the price obviously but significantly improves the drink..usually. Done raspberry, BlackBerry, Blueberry, mangos. With limade done cherry then one with Pinapple/jalapenos/vanilla/ tequila...kinda unique flavor combo.

Testing my HB 2024 Wee Heavy that I bottled recently. Same grist as the 2023, but came out slightly different (a little thinner and a bit higher ABV). This one is 8.8% ABV and has more of a chocolate taste. Am planning on aging this for drinking this and next winter.

An imperial stout from Noble Shepherd Brewing Company.
It’s accurate I’m getting barrel notes and maple. Pretty good!
From untappd:
Released for our 7th anniversary, aged in Hollerhorn Distilling "Seedling" Maple Spirit barrels. Notes of light maple, oak, vanilla, almond, and dark chocolate.

Well, here it is. The beer I’ve read so much about. There weren’t any in the cooler when I looked at the Ft. Collins liquor store, but when I asked the cashier, she checked her computer and said there should be 13 somewhere in the store. Another clerk found a stash in the back cooler and she let me purchase 2.
It’s pretty good beer, but it didn’t blow my socks off. I would definitely drink more if available and not so damn expensive.

That's kind of how I feel about it. I do like it, quite a bit actually, but now that it's available at every store and gas station around me I rarely buy it anymore. Back when it was unobtainable for me it was definitely on my list.

We have family in San Diego and go there every year. First time I spotted Pliny I thought I'd hit the motherlode. Store owner said they got an allocated shipment every Thurs and I could buy a limit of 4 bottles. I bought 4. I thought it was quite good, not sure if it was world-class. Freshness is key and the bottling date was just a couple weeks prior. They ship it cold.

Then again, I imagine any good IPA would be quite good if they went to the trouble of keeping it chilled from brewery to customer.

Don't know if they still stamp dates on the bottles. I wonder how fresh it is by the time it gets to CO.

Assuming they stamp the month first, it was bottled earlier this month.

I've never had a Pliny. I'll be visiting my daughter in SD this weekend. Will have to try to find some. But I've heard that the younger is the one that really knocks people's socks off. Wrong time of year though.
