That's why I love Capitol Ale House. They have 50 taps in the downstairs bar alone...and they don't waste a single on on BMC. Beautiful. If you want a BMC, you'll have to get a bottle. Ha!

Nothing beats a homebrew guiness. Mine has a 1/4 lb (for 10 gallons) of black patent to give it some extra roast.

Yep - I agree. Had one from the tap last weekend and was not impressed nor was my buddy. I almost never order a guiness any longer. This establishment however had very poor selection. Same goes for Newcastle which I used to love. Strange how this hobby affects the tastebuds.

If you let the Guinness warm up quite a lot it will get SOME flavour back. Everywhere I go serves it WAY too cold. Heck it even says 'serve ice cold' on the damn can nowadays.

Pshhht. There's a big difference between a stronghanded thug op like CAMRA, and just asking your local restaurants to at least inquire with their distributor about what craft beers they carry/recommend, and then stocking a few of those.

If I want my beer served in CAMRA-nazi style, I'll stay at home and do it myself.
