Considering the 2013s are still there, I can't imagine those 2015s are going to fly off the list. I'll probably end up making a regretful group purchase of each of them with some friends at some point.

thats my only problem i won't be down there with anyone but my wife and shes not too into stouts. we're gonna have to have a TB party at WB haha

Let me know when you're planning to be down there and I'll try to make the trip down. :)

Kind of funny though that the '14 bottle are more expensive than the '15 bottles when it says prominently "do not age or cellar!" on the label. I get the whole "vintage" thing, but regular Mexi-cake definitey does not improve with age, it loses a lot even after one year I've found.

lets do it! i haven't booked the flights yet but we should be there from the day after Christmas to New Years so some time in between that would be great!

Damn I'll have to be out on that one, going home to Canada and the west coast for the holidays. But I'm sure you'll find people to enjoy it with!

I may be in the minority, but I actually enjoy Mexican Cake better aged some. The pepper is a little too strong for me fresh. I think it's fantastic when it becomes a bit more muted.

so you like that gross vegetal pepper flavour?

Coconut Bourbon Cake on at Westbrook, or at least it was last night and I imagine that since it was tapped silently it lasted into today. This keg is drinking far better than the one that was tapped for the release day party.

Lemon Coconut Weisse Weisse Baby might be my favorite non-stout beer Westbrook has made.

Also overheard at the bar that they've sold somewhere in the neighborhood of 5-10 Pappy Cake bottles for on-premise. 4 or 5 last Saturday and a few over the course of the week.

Anybody had perfect nose/mo mices yet? Wondering how much effort I should go to to track down bottles...

i loved them both! Brett & No Mices has always been one of my favorites so with extended aged you can only imagine! Perfect Nose was nice, not too sweet like Cognac Jesus and Cake. a ton of tobacco though.

I'll be flying back in on the 29th. Land at 6:39, I might be able to stop by if they don't close at 7.. No checked bags. I saw they open their tasting room early, maybe they stay open later sometimes? Would like to see what all the mexi cake hubbub is about.

The taproom staff does not like to stay late. Odds of them being open later are pretty close to zero, in my experience

sorry man i will most likely be there at opening cause my mothers house where i'm staying is a little over 2 hours away

Has anyone had this yet? Saw the Charleston Beer Exchange tweet a couple days ago they got it, but that it was pretty limited. Last one I had was the Lemon Coconut version, and it was awesome.

Doing these WWB variants is a really nice move by Westbrook. The base beer is damn good and it's very amenable to the treatments they've been doing. Lemon Coconut is one of my favorite beers they've released.

Agreed. I need more of these in my life. Especially love their low cost.
