So I drilled my holes for a ball valve and a Bilchmann brewmometer. Everything leaks!!! What is the standard procedure for metal washers, silicone washers, etc...
Holes were drilled with a step bit to the correct size...not too big.
This is an old aluminum pot with thin side walls if that could make a difference.
I've tried every combination of washers and teflon tape, but still dripping.
How do you guys configure your:
1. Bilchmann Weldless Brewmometer
2. Ball valves????

How many O-rings are you using? Usually one on each side of the kettle does the trick.

Thats was my initial plan. Thats how I did it with my MLT and BK...both work fine, but not with my aluminum pot. I really think that the washers I am using are to thin to make the seal with the curvature of the pot and the flat metal washer.
