Longtime lurker here, looking for your wisdom.
I am working on a small electric BIAB setup, in this 5 gallon pot with colander.

I am planning to do 2.5 gallon batches in it.
If I am adding a weld-less bulkhead, I have a question:
Given the small diameter of the pot (and therefore greater curvature), should I flatten (with a mallet or something) the area where I am going to drill a hole? Or should I leave it as is?
I will be using a brewhardware.com style bulkhead, BTW.
