I'm getting ready to make my first batch with Brewer's best's Weizenbier kit but am worried I don't have a big enough fermenter
I'm using a 6 gallon bucket that used to have juice in it for making wine. I don't know if the entire container is more than 6 gallons or if there's some head room when they fill them with 6 gallons of juice
-will this be large enough to use with an airlock or should I try to put some type of blowof on it?
kit includes
2 cans of Munton's Wheat LME
'Munich' brewing yeast
Mt Hood bittering hops alpha acid 5.2%
Mt Hood aroma hops alpha acid 5.2%
and of course sugar
I just don't want to find my ceiling plastered with foam (kraeusen right?)
and it sounds like some of the wheat beers have a tendancy to be...turbulent during fermintation
