So on my American cream ale batch, fermented about 10 days so far, took a peak inside and see swirls of almost sugary thick looking gunk sporadically throughout my beer? Fermentation seems finished, no bubbles rising anymore and airlock has been still for about 3-4 days. Can't figure out what it could be, it's just a hazy gelatinous looking substance that just looks like it's seperating from the rest of the beer in different spots? It smells great, wouldn't suspect any infection. Any ideas would be appreciated!

I can't really get a good picture of it but I'll post one. In the pic near the light, the bubbles you see are under the surface trapped in the hazy gunk. if it were proteins settling out... Would they be floating near the top as I'm seeing it? Fairly new to brewing so im still questioning pretty much everything I'm doing and seeing hahaView attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1419395470.648858.jpg

That looks normal. You'll get stuff like that as the krausen recedes and things like yeast rafts and residual proteins are left behind near the surface. Given another few days, most of that should settle out. You can also cold-crash by moving your fermenter into the fridge about 24 hours before you plan to bottle (assuming fermentation has completed).

Good, I've only done a couple batches and this is the first I've seen of anything like this so I got a bit worried that maybe I messed up somewhere along the line or possible start of infection. Probably wait another 7-10 days and then bottle!
