Does weather play a part in fermentation? I am working on my second batch and it seems a little slow to me fermenting. It is though. We are having cooler temps where I live. The first batch did its thing with no problem and came out good.

Temperature control is very important when fermenting. If your beer changes temperature that much it will alter taste and you might even kill the yeast. It should be relatively stable 2-3 degreesis fine

It won't get warm enough to kill the yeast. But the large fluctuations can cause it to stress out &/or go dormant.
