I have been considering trying this with a Pilsner malt as the base and using Citra, Amarillo and Sabro.

That’s awesome to hear. They are my LHBS or LHBM as it may be. Love those guys.A couple of years ago Home Brew Mart (back when they were still owned by Ballast Point), brewed an "XPA" for Homebrew Con.
It was pilsner malt, Vista hops, and K-97. Pretty similar to what you're describing. It was delicious and I brewed a couple of similar beers back then.

I've used 029 for many hoppy styles ( amber, APA etc ) and it is quite clean and lets hops shine. It was my house yeast for a while. Great yeast. Ironically i didn't think it was good for kolsh. Too cleanI have been considering trying this with a Pilsner malt as the base and using Citra, Amarillo and Sabro.
