negative ghost rider. If you can take the guage apart and dry it, you should be able to keep using it. Did you submerge the gauge? or did that happen during the boil?
Was your kettle stored inside where it was dry and warm, then taken outside where it was cool and damp? That could have casued a pressure change and condensation to build up.
That's way more than condensation. I'd be looking at the weld between the probe and the threaded bushing. I've seen tiny pits in the weld there that lets water in. I'd be talking to the retailer on this one.
