Below is my water report from Ward. Trying to get a good IPA going and have been having issues (look at that low SO4 number).

CA 21
MG 15
NA 9
CL 6
SO4 4
HCO3 113

Trying to get the SO4 up but the other numbers still in a reasonable range has been tricky. Adding some Chalk, gypsum, Calc. Chloride, Epsom gets me to the below result:

CA 110
MG 50
NA 9
CL 47
SO4 273
CaCO3 111

RA:3
CL/SO4 Ration: 0.17

This was come to with the following additions for a 10gal batch (in grams):

Chalk
Mash: 1
Boil: 1.5
Gypsum
Mash: 6
Boil: 8.7
CaCl2
Mash: 2.3
Boil: 3.3
Epsom
Mash: 10
Boil: 14.5

Am I heading in the right direction or totally off?

I think you're going a bit too far.

Skip the chalk. You don't need more carbonate.
Back off on the Epsom too, way too much magnesium in your results...

I assumed a 7gallon strike volume, but:

Mash Vol: 7 gal
Dilution Rate: 0%

Adjustments:
CaCO3: 0 grams
CaSO4: 5 grams
CaCl2: 2 grams
MgSO4: 2 grams
NaHCO3: 0 grams
NaCl: 0 grams
HCL Acid: 0 ml
Lactic Acid: 0 ml

Results:
Ca: 84 ppm
Mg: 22 ppm
Na: 9 ppm
Cl: 42 ppm
SO4: 139 ppm
CaCO3: 93 ppm

RA: 19 (7 to 12 SRM)
Cl to SO4: 0.31 (Very Bitter)

You could go one more gram on the gypsum if you really want that high SO4 ratio.

Thanks Bobby. The MG had me a bit concerned, but I based it off this post which has a MG level over twice what I came up with.

As we all know, this water thing can be frustrating, and not being able to brew your favorite style even more frustrating .
