Water Filter from Fridge

So I took a water filter setup (brand new) from a refrigerator and rigged it for my hose hookup with food grade tubing. I used this water for my latest brew this past weekend. I used spring water for my first 4 brews.

I plan on testing the water, but do you think this will make a big difference? It is sure nice not to have to use spring water.

Do you think this will remove most unwanted stuff? Chlorine, etc?

As long your water tastes fine, you will be ok.

It will remove chlorine. Fridge filters just have big lumps of charcoal in them.

I use tap water that has gone thru a charcoal filter. No problems.

I use a carbon filter as well, and I also throw a couple campden tablets in just to make sure there is no chlorine/chloramine left after filtering.
