So Im preparing to wash yeast for the first time tomorrow. Ive watched a few videos on youtube and it seems simple enough.
The issue i run into is the jar/container to store my yeast in the fridge. In the videos I've watched it looks like the man in the video stores them in canning jars. I went out today trying to find these and came up empty.
I have a few pickle and jelly jars that I could use. I would obviously clean them thoroughly and sanitize them. Im just concerned about the tops and how well they seal. Has anyone used these to store yeast? They seem they would be tight enough
