Right now I'm drinking the last bottle of my first home brew, AHBS's Texas Blonde Ale. It poured out a nice golden bronze-ish color, thick head, but no lacing. I still remember brewing this beer back in Oct of 2007. Oh the many mistakes I made. Granted they were small mistakes, but they didnt cause any major problems. The only one that affected it, was that I only had 4.5 gallons of water max in the primary, so the OG was higher then it was supposed to be.
But here it is Feb of 2009, and I've done almost 10 more beers, and they have all gone a little bit smoother during the brew day, and the beers have turned out good if not fantastic!
This past Sunday, I brewed my first Imperial IPA and it was also my first full boil!
So heres to you Texas Blonde Ale! Thanks for being my first and letting me know, that even I, can make great beer!
