I got a kegerator about 8 months ago, and I stopped using it about 4 months ago because it didn't get very cold. I also found that the outlet it was plugged into had a short. I recently plugged it into another outlet and after a day the temp., at it's lowest, isvabout 40 degrees, which is still a little warmer than I'd want it. The funny part is that the freezer is still working fine. Should I get the freon tested and/or I have heard of people drilling holes into the freezer to get the fridge a little colder. What should I or can I do? Any help would be useful.....Thanks!!!

It sounds like your kegerator is an old fridge?

If you plan to always have the kegerator turned on, and your fridge is old (15+ years), you might save some money in the long run just getting a new fridge. They have gotten much more efficient over time.
