As of now I have a 10 gal system using a keg for boiling, a 15 gal pot for HLT and a 60qt (15gal) cooler mash tun. I have 1 100k banjo burner and 3 30-40k rocket burner.

I have a pump and may get another.

I was thinking of going electric be cause of heat loss and noise.

My brewing area is located in a location that is close to my pool pump.

Pool pump is run on a 30amp 240v circuit.

I was thinking about getting a 30amp extension cord and running it from the pump outlet to the brewroom. I was thinking about starting small like just 1 5000w element in the Bk. Is there and easy way to control this? the pump outlet is about 25ft away.

what would you use to control the heating element?

The link worked fine for me.

I'm just about finished building Auberins brew buddy controller. I was a little intimidated at first but it is actually pretty straight forward with the paperwork they provide.

My first controller was from High Gravity and it was a great controller. It had one outlet for a 240v heating element and it had two outlets for pumps. I had to unplug my HLT element and plug in my BK element for the boil.

Seems like the price has gone up a little on these. You could build one pretty easy.

Its the DSPR1 controller, but they have others that have automated features that weren't available when I made my purchase and I don't think I'd want that automation either.
