Walnuts in my Rye Mash

So a few days ago, I had an accident and spilled some chopped-up walnuts in my mash. It looks fine so far (didn't want to waste the rye), but I'm curious about whether anybody's ever mixed nuts in with their mash and how it turned out.

oils from them that made it into the wort/suspension/bottle will probably effect head retention, probably nothing else.
