Vinegar taste

Probably acetobacter. I've lost two batches to that. Not fun. Still not certain where I picked it up. One went bad in the fermenter, the other went south after about a month in the bottle.

I'm no expert, but on the plus side-- Malt vinegar. Fish and chips anyone? I've made bad beer and I drink it as a punishment for poor sanitation. I learn from my mistakes better but also learn to taste for flaws, which is pretty cool too.

Haha love your name and how you started your post. Epic. Is your goal to start every post like that?

Yes, always bottle. Going to go with a standard phrase here "the only beer you can't drink is the one that you pour down the drain." It is probably from fermentation byproducts and the yeast will continue to clean up. Even if it has been pulled off the main yeast cake.

Dump.

It won't get better. It will make you sad, looking at its miserableness in the bottles. It's a bad marriage. It's a cough you can't shake. It's a fork when all you need is a spoon. It's that spot on the ceiling you've been meaning to take care of for 5 years. Nosehairs that itch. Perennial blinking 12:00 on the VCR. The nagging thought that you left the iron on. A hole in the bottom of your pocket. "Check engine". A reddish bump on your shoulder that's been there too long. Odd sound from car engine. Unpaid bill. Taxes. Shrinking belt. What if there really is a god? Next month's rent. Are you a good father, really? Mortality. Exercise more. Who is John Galt.

You've got enough things to worry about. Dump the beer.

Clarify for me. Is it bitter, or does it taste like vinegar?

If bitter, that will probably improve. Flat, green beer in a fermenter is often described as bitter, or boring, or bland, or even ass three. Age and carbonation can do wonders.

If it tastes like vinegar, you likely have aerobacter, and it won't get better. Dump it.
