Vanilla Porter- First time using secondary

I know everybody has different opinions on this but this is my first time using a secondary at all and wanted to hear what everybody thinks. Usually I leave in primary for 3-4 weeks. I'm brewing a Vanilla Porter. I'm figuring on leaving in primary til OG level is constant for a few days and racking to secondary to add vanilla beans. How long in secondary? 2 or 3 weeks sound right? Thanks in advance..

I've got a vanilla Porter in secondary now. Recipe said seven days on the beans (4 beans). I'm going on almost two weeks now. I think most recipes are just one or two beans for maybe 4 to 7 days. This is my first shot at vanilla though...
