Two valuable lessons that i have learned this weekend

1. Every other or third batch should be one that your wife/husband/or significant other likes.

2. Every couple of batches should be one that your brother in-law or other equipment hookup likes especially if he works for Pepsi and gets you free corny kegs. Have a great weekend

That's actually a rule at my house. Got the girlfriend to agree to pay half for my 5-tap keezer setup and to start splitting the cost of my ingredients. The only stipulation is that she gets to say what's on 2 of the taps at all times. Also that I start making hard cider.

Since we're not much into porters or stouts,I can brew pretty much anything save for those. We both have about the same tastes when it comes to beer, ale, etc.

As long as I keep a pale ale on tap I don't hear any complaints. A wheat beer every now and then is also appreciated.

gunna start making wine. my g.f doesnt like beer but since she doesnt mind me brewing im gunna make her what she likes.

and i never have to worry about her drinking my beer.

Im thinking about giving it a try Wife loves Riesling and theres a great town not to far from here thats an old German settlement and they have a great wine making background. Just made a Blonde ale with lemon and orange peel and the wife loves it and is "bribing" me to make more.

OK, I just learned a third lesson. One that is probably more important than the other two.

Men; what ever you do. Do not (however the hell you would) give your wife the impression that you are going to pickup her mothers day gift and come back with a Sanke Keg. She will be pi$$ed off and you will not hear the end of it. Almost makes me glad i work 7 days a week
