using recently bottled beer in a bbq mop

I doubt you'd notice any difference, if you're cooking with it.....particularly using it as a BBQ mop.
 
Just open over a sink. My wife used a scotch ale in some pulled pork that had only conditioned 3 days. Gushed all over the floor after a few seconds.
 
I bottled a chocolate stout I had about 3/4 of a bottle left over, made a chipotle glaze for chicken I was smoking that afternoon. turned out great
 
I posted about this in the meat smoking forum. But I like using an English bitter with some red pepper,black pepper,worsteshire sauce,& garlic & onion powder mixed up the night before. If I have some of that good Italian basalmic vinegar,I'll add some of that for a great mop sauce.
