Using OLD DME for starter

Hey all... I've got some DME that's 4+ years old. Going to do a starter (1st time) on my next batch.

Any issues/problems using this stuff for the starter???

You can definitely do this. However, for a starter made with the old DME, I'd *DEFINITELY* recommend you cool it and decant off the liquid before you pitch it into your beer.

My DME expired in 2005. I still use it for starters. I decant sometimes and other times I pitch it.
