I was wondering if anyone has ever used liquor bottles for fermentation for wine or experimental small batches of beer? I was thinking of using some handles (1.75L) of Captain Morgan bottles for use in making some wine. Does anyone know what size stopper this might use?

Thanks everyone!

Neat idea, I suppose it would be easy to collect a few of those and have a ton of little baby batches going at once.

I'm not quite sure what size it would be, but you could do a quick measure and I know at Lowes or Home Depot, the not only have the stopper #, but the diameter as well. At the stores by me, they do not have #5 or #6 stoppers for some reason. However if you get it from either of them, you will have to drill it yourself.
