Using 4L wine just as primary.

I want to start making 2.5 gallon batches of beer and experimenting with recipes. I was wondering if i could use a two 4L glass wine jug as a primary. I don't see an issue but I wanted to get a second (or third) opinion on the matter before I do it.

Well 8L is 2.2gal, they wouldn't be big enough. You definitely want some headspace, I'd stick to .75gal or so in each.

I was just getting in the ball park, but will the glass jugs work. I can get 3 put .8 gallons in each. I just didnt know if i could use the the contain as a primary.

Oh yeah they'll work just fine. I'd check to make sure you can siphon out of them first though, that's the only concern.
