Exactly. If I had the space I'd be considering it. If you look at walk-in cooler builds on this forum they can go above $1000 dollars pretty quickly. If you find a cheap a/c and temp controller, I bet you could easily keep it below $1000. Avoiding to have to construct a properly sealing door on a homemade walk-in would be the best benefit for me. Don't think this thing has a floor, so that may be a concern

Several years ago a friend of mine did a remodel on a gas station/convience store and he got one for free w/o the cooling unit. We were going to put it togeather and install an A/C unit but we never got around to it.
