Sweeeet!

We just brewer our Rum Soaked Goodness. Maple Smoked Amber with maple sap as the brewing liquor. We scored a 42 and 44 with it in a few competitions hoping to duplicate that again with this years version.

Just got my 5 gal rum barrel. Nice barrel! The rum is still wet inside and smells great. Can't wait to fill it with vanilla cream stout! Can you tell us what kind of rum was inside?

Just a standard barrel aged Rum made from straight cane sugar. It is NOT a spiced Rum. Cream Stout should be wonderful in that barrel. I have a 3 yrs old RIS that I aged in one of those barrels and it is still holding up well.
 
My barrel arrived yesterday in great shape and smelling wonderful. The dog looked at me as though to say "I get yelled at when I sniff a bung like that" :D
