Just thought I'd put this out there. I have a really weak glass top electric stove. Ive actually had a brown out once while trying to bring 2.5gallons of wort to a boil.

Since then ive been using my butane stove to get the wort or what ever i need to boil very quickly. These stoves are cheap as is the gas.

Once it begins to boil, transfer to the stovetop and its smooth sailing!

the pic is a little misleading. rotate it down to the right 90 degrees. it's actually upside down while he's using it, and he's actually using a complex anti-gravity system to keep the wort in the bucket with a pressure unit generating upward pressure :D
