I made an amber ale two months ago that called for 1/2 lb of crystal malt. The brew shop only sold it by the pound but, without thinking, I had him grind all of it.

I'd like to make the same recipe again soon. I put the unused portion in a plastic bag in my freezer. Are they still okay to use now or do I need something fresh?
 
If you put them in the freezer they should still be ok. Don't wait much longer though. Next time grind what you need and the unmilled grain will be fine.
