Simply put - what is the best party? I am thinking about Ocktoberfest in togas. I know folks here have experience in this area and am looking for guidance - - so I can throw one.:rockin:

And no... I can't have strippers.

Lots of people, lots of food, and lots of booze. Thats all you need. I hate theme parties though.

My brewer cousin is throwing a "Brew-B-Q" in July.

Show up with a steak for yourself, a fermentor, and pre-determined ingredients for a batch of brew.

No females to bother us. Just guys drinking, eating steak, and brewing.

July cant come quick enough!

While not *quite* a party, I thought it was a damn good idea

Chambly beer & flavor festival!
A few good friends...
and of course LOTS (100 or more) of craft brews and cheap (I had a few full pint of stout, bitter... for only 4-5$:cross:), BBQs all around, hand-pulled pork sandwiches, portuguese sausages..., you can meet the brewers and talk about their beer, the brewery, bands playing, lots of people but the site is never over-crowded.
The women are just awesome... dude it's just the best time of the year!:cross:
The fest is held during the Labor's day week-end, on the banks of the Richelieu river

I guess it depends on what kind of party you like. I just had a barbeque during the parade that passes in front of my house every year. This summer in late July, we're planning an annual camping/canoeing weekend. That always turns into an alcoholism festival.

But all you need for a good party is good friends, good food, and beverages of choice. It always helps to have people invite someone that nobody knows. Expand the circle of friends.
