I just got two used kegs and both have the Cornelius company on the outside of them. One of the kegs has both a type B post for the in and the out, however the other keg has a Type A post for the out and what appears to be a type A with a 12 point shape on the in port. It seems something is out of whack here... I thought the type A was only for Firestone?

I have several that arrived with the star and regular fittings on the same keg. I just left them there and have had no problems. I guess back in the day, the Pepsi maintenance people just put on what they had available.

I've used ended up with some of those 12 pointed stars and used a Dremel to make them into a hexagon like other posts. Just cut off every other point with a cutoff wheel and then grind it down a little.

Why? A 22mm box wrench fits them perfectly! Don't butcher you kegs.
