Just a random thought that's been brewing in my head today. Let's say the Beer God came down from above and gave you an awesome 6-corny kegerator setup, with the following requirement: You had to pick two specific beers to always be on tap. The other four you could change whenever, but as stated, two would always have to be the same. What two beers would you keep on tap?

My choices:

1) Pale Ale (Using the same recipe as my first sucessful five gallon batch).
2) Chocolate Porter

One would definitely be my Black Helicopter Porter, which is chocolate hazelnut and vanilla. :D

The second would probably be Dogfish Head 90 Minute Imperial IPA, or if we're talking only homebrews, my own IIPA.

The extremes of malty/roasty and hoppy!

Exactly! My IPA (the Dogfish Head 60 minute clone), and then maybe a nut brown ale or a porter. Or the Dead Guy clone, that's a favorite. I think my husband could drink the DG clone every day and never get tired of it.

I'd say my Everyday Amber, hopped with Chinook, and my Really Black stout.
I think I could live forever on those two alone. Maybe there'd be room in the Cornierator for a watermelon and some crab dip?

1. A pale ale. It was called "Livin Easy Summertime Pale Ale", but I guess it would get a new name.

2. Probably an Amber that I made a while ago, and have been trying to replicate since.

Thats easy! Mine would be a Hefeweizen and a Steam Beer clone. Or maybe a nice Brown Ale and a Blonde. Wait.... Pumpkin ale and a Mexican beer clone. Well there is so many to choose from. I would prefer just having three wishes.

The first one is easy. Three Floyd Alpha King. The second ? Toss up between Best beer I ever made called Beached Ale (recipe from realbeer.com) or Spotted Cow from New Glarus. So it would be ... it could be... definitely... maybe...Beached Ale.

My Impact IPA and Yankee Drifter Golden Ale. Those are two beers that I've made enough times to really dial them in so they come out exactly the same every time. Plus the Impact will satisfy my hop cravings and the Yankee Drifter will slake my thirst after a long days work.

If I had to pick 2 beers to be on tap, at all times, one of them would be a little beer from your neck of the woods. Ali'i Macadamia Nut Brown Ale. Sorry to say, Alii Brewing went out of business about 6 or 7 years ago. (Or, about 4 years after I was no longer working there.)

The other, probably their Pau Hana Porter.

But, that Mac Nut was the absolute best beer I have ever tasted. Period!

(Maybe, I could get you to ask Dave Campbell, brewer at Sam Choy's Breakfast, Lunch & Crab, if he still remembers Scott's recipe.) Dave tought me my first steps in Homebrewing, when he owned Oahu Homebrew.

And yes, I can call the Mac Nut a homebrew, because I have done NUMEROUS batches, but they were 500 gallon ones.

Another possible #2. Ali'i Amber Ale. It was their flagship beer.
