Hi everyone. As you can see I'm brand new. For christmas my wife got me a home brew kit from Morebeer. I am very excited to start my 1st brew. I am a deep fry turkey guy. I have a couple of large aluminum pots that we use with the turkeys. Would it be a really bad idea to use one of these pots after a through cleaning or should I buy a dedicated pot for this?
Thanks!

You could but clean it out. You might wanna thing about getting a Stainless Steel one in the near future to help out. The Al pots don't clean up very easy.

As long as you get all the oil residue and then boil water in the pot to build up a greyish layer to seal the aluminum you'll be fine. "Barkeepers Friend" is a great cleaner for all metals. Welcome to the hobby of a lifetime.:p

If your going to be in this for the long run invest in a dedicated brew pot.
