anyone got an idea how long i should expect a beer at 1.066 OG, to finish to 1.000. with premier blanc wine yeast? i got it at 66f right now, normally it's done in 3-4 days at 85f....

but i have so many fridges now, lol...figured hell why not, i only have two empty kegs out of my 6 so, should be alright for a week if it takes a bit longer...

i added gluc, so it may take longer to get me dry, just looking for a ball park guestimate.

well,
premier blanc wine yeast took about 2 weeks to ferment out 4 lbs of sugar mixed with 5 gallons of water to almost 1.000 at high 60's.
i'm making hard seltzer water if you were wondering.

at about 1.014 now...but it's sitting at 75f, so not sure if i did a good job of temp control :(

a mini fridge ex-kegerator, and a analog temp controler from back in 2005-6, that cost $80-90...and i have to feel it out, because it's like 10f off on the dial...should get a spiffy inkbird digital for $20-30, but haven't gotten around to it...

i'm always worried the copper tube is going to break with this one! :mug:

welp checked today, hit 1.000....but fermentation i think was a bit warmer then hoped...it's at 73f now, and when i shot my IR at the side during, it said 75f....

oh, well, i'll try again....how the hell did i go from 6 full kegs too, two half full ones in two weeks? lol

this is why i upgraded to a 25 gallon pot.
10-15 gallon batches at once.

lol, i don't know how to read that? LOL, i can get away with just one 10 gallon batch once a week, and keep the flow going...... ;) :mug:

but yeah, i didn't have the extra $80-90 for store bought malt, and got lazy with malting my own....so now i'm looking at another 3-4 days till my malt is ready, and a week to ferment....got 10 gallons ready, and cold...

i keep telling myself, "focus man, focus!"

i'm in the process of trying to brew a batch every other day since i work from home i can mill and mash on my lunch. have to let kegs naturally carbonate in basement while i replace gaskets on my keggorator.

i just bought 50lbs of pale malt for $55 from the home brew shop.

the neighbors are stealing it

You should buy more kegs.
