I actually called them to ask the question direct.
The guy I talked to didn't seem very confident in his answer but he did say " I don't think I see any cooling lines". The word "think" threw me off, so I haven't done anything.
 
I looked at the pdf as well and it doesn't cover anything to do with the evaporator side.
The odds are high that the coolant loop doesn't run across the top, but...

I ended up buying a similar cooler. I emailed True and they confirmed that all of the coolant lines are in the back wall. They sent me some pics and manuals that confirm. Drill wherever you want as long as you avoid the compartment with the fan.
 
As a follow up, I drilled mine through the top with no problems so this is 100% confirmed.
