Trub disappearance?

Brewed yesterday. I had some sediment at the bottom of the primary. (About 1 inch) When fermentation started, I noticed it was gone. I have never noticed this before in other batches. Does the yeast activity stir things up?

Yes.

It sure does. But not all of it all the time,ime. That's how you can wind up with yeast rafts,or floaters.
