First time hop grower here. I just planted my rhizomes and am wondering if I should trim the first shoots if they are hollow. I suspect I shouldn't because the rhizome may not have enough energy to keep making new shoots. What should I do when/if bulls pop up?

Thanks,
Dustin

If this is a first year rhizome, let it all grow. You want the focus in year 1 to be root establishment. Once your root system is mature, cut back the bull shoots.
