I bottled my second batch of cider last night back into eight 1.38l apple juice bottles I saved for the purpose. it seemed to be a good solution with my limited space, I can now put them on some shelving in my small cellar.
of course I didn't get a completely full ninth bottle so I bottled one still and the other with two carb tabs (as an experiment), the partially filled third bottle went into the fridge for consumption in the near future. I'm going to try to sample the others at one month intervals. there was still an almost neglible amount of gas production overnight which shouldn't be a problem for the PET bottles but I'll still keep an eye on them. the bottle I carbed is in an "anti-explosion device"
