After 30 or so all grain batches, I decided to give BIAB a shot. I am totally stoked with the results. I hit 82% efficiency with a regular crush. Also, it was less labor intensive than with my mash tun. I think I may be converting...
I did my first biab yesterday. I was a strictly extract brewer by I am hooked on biab. Its so easy and yet I always had this big fear of going all grain lol. Much cheaper than extract as well. I brewed a cream ale and it smells so good
I brewed my first American IPA. I really enjoy that it's a 3 gallon batch vs 5+ gallons. It takes me a long time to get rid of 5 gallons. This will be a nice change of pace and I think it will diversify my fridge inhabitants. I'm looking forward to doing a few more BIAB in the future to see what kind of end results I can obtain.
