Well, I went ahead and braised/soldered it. Used map gas and a 15%ag rod. Came out OK. Not perfect, but I think it will be perfectly ‘sanitary’ after I clean it up and polish it with a dremmel (need to go to Bunnings to get some bits). Much better than it was before at least.

As for now, I’m testing the cooling capability of my setup. I’m quite happy with how easy it is to take out and replace the coil, with no tools.
