According to twitter no Julius, Green or Haze this week..... Sap ? What else could it be ?
I was hoping that a large batch of one of those three was brewed and would be ready
Read to much into the first batch of julius brewed this year would be more than ever before part of blog.

Damn I want some of that lights on and present moment

Nate and Brendan have spent substantial time [months, years] tweaking their recipes. I would guess* that they might want to brew on the Premier system and test results before taking their babies to that stage. If I were them I would want more basis for analysis/correlation between the results from the Premier System and the trusty old 5 BBL. If I know Nate at all, he would not be so foolish as to jeopardize his time tested brands on the big boy brew with results unforeseen. They are now in a much better position having broken the Premier in.

This past week was the first rollout of cans off the new system- both beers we had not seen before.
  • New product on new system=open perception toward new product
  • Trusty product on new system (more so, produced without knowing it's behavioral nuance)= inevitable focus on any deviation from standard

As an aside, I vote that if we are going to speculate on matters of Tree House nature, we caveat them as uninformed, qualify them, or refrain from voicing them*. I love Tree House as much as the next guy; being somewhat of a regular, I have seen some of the negative side effects of such behavior.

First, this is a given for any post about anything, unless it's from the horse's mouth. Second, people should be able to post whatever they want, whether it be speculation or even critical points about Treehouse without being shouted down. This isn't ******* BA, people shouldn't have to tip-toe around their opinions with fear of repercussions.

^ agreed, alot of negativity in other forums. I like how this one is clean. We can still guess and hope our hearts out tho ;)

Makes perfect sense about the new beers. cant wait to try them !

I think the issue was some people are speculating new beers are failed batches of (insert well known Treehouse Beer here) which likely isn't true and if I were Nate I would be frustrated, understandably so

Something must have been lost in translation here. The whole "second" part seems a little aggressive considering that all I said is that it is my vote/opinion that speculation be labeled as such. I did not call anyone out specifically, and I did have reservations about messing with peoples mojos- it just seemed important enough to call out. "Being shouted down." ? "Tip-toe around their opinions with fear of repercussions."? I guess my message had a lot more loaded implications than I thought.

It's not ******* BA though, that is accurate.

I haven't had any of them, were they really that bad?

I was probably reading too much into your post, but your post just screamed like something that would be posted on BA. Specifically, there was Trillium thread that got locked during the licensing renewal fiasco because of "speculation." It's that kind of horseshit that makes my blood boil. Apologies for my seemingly aggressive post, didn't mean any harm by it.

I've actually heard that they were very good, but I think it's more about the process, right - they said they'd be starting with Julius/Green/Haze as canned beers, and our first batches on the new system have been, instead, new beers, which would lead one to speculate that whether or not they TASTE good, the INTENT was to brew something else.

Frankly, I don't care - I was kind of thinking to myself that this might have been the case (and, we're all still speculating), but if so.. whatever! They'll nail what they want, and it will be delicious, and I will buy **** tons of it.

And if in the process they produce some new/different stuff, I'll probably buy a **** ton of that too.

I'm just here so I won't get fined.

No but seriously... Lights On and Present Moment are new beers that taste about as I intended. They aren't failed batches of anything. I've brewed failed batches and they go down the drain.

More new beers are in the tank, as are a couple of known entities.. (almost 200 bbls total ? ! &*#%(&# ) Always learning and trying to improve!

We are contracted for an ungodly amount of hops through 2020 to brew our core hoppy beers. They are coming with a vengeance...
