I just finished my first brew today :D and I realized I have to go back to school before the beer will finish fermenting. Will it be ok on the drive or is it best to drive back down when it needs to be bottled?

I would not move your fermentor any big distance after it has been fermenting for a few days. It would be far better to come back and bottle your beer 2-4 weeks after you brewed it.

Congrats on your first brew. What did you make? Let us know how it turns out.

Alright that's what I'll do then. Its an IPA that I made with a starter kit, it was a lot of fun to try out and this forum has already helped out a lot. I only have a one gallon carboy, so I want to scale after a little more practice
