I just brewed a hef and I was wondering if I should be using a mesh bag over the end of the siphon to help filter out any trub. I do this for every beer I make but I wasn't sure because this is my first hef. Do I want as much yeast as I can into the keg and not use a mesh bag? Thanks for the help

I crash it, but don't fine it. Transferring it without crashing it makes it way too soupy for too long in my experience.

i wouldn't bother with the mesh bag. the whole thing with those yeasts is that they don't floc out. i doubt a strainer would make a dent in the amount of yeast you have in suspension anyway.
