Very sad day for me :(
Been wanting to try this for a long time.

That sucks. Can you tell what happened?
(That looks like one of my old boxes with a 1/2 corrugated inner liner)

Doesn't look like the bubble wrap was taped securely around the bottles. All of them were loose in the box so it was rather lucky there was just 1 casualty. It's just unfortunate which one it was. He's got another bottle though that he's gonna get sent out.

I read somewhere (maybe here, I can't remember) not to use box tape on bubble wrap, so the receiver can easily reuse the packing materials. I occasionally slack on the shelf beers, but all the expensive bottles get box tape on both ends.
To any new traders, always do the shake test. Any movement, add packing.

The shake test is a must.

...and more important than individually wrapping the bottles/cans. Individual wrap ensures that some packing stays with the bottle if it moves around. If it doesn't move, that doesn't matter. That said, individual wrap is an easy insurance policy.

Too bad I don't ever end up shipping a straight 12 pack of 12oz bottles, I have these nice shipping boxes sitting here waiting to be used...

So here's some happier pics now that I'm home from work.
This is what survived the shipment with the Citra

Yeah, the White Rajah turned out to be really good. I get it at Super Walmart. but A ride over to their place in Strongsville might get fresher ones. They're supposed to have good hickory pit BBQ as well.:tank:

I happen to know that a couple of cans, a 4-6 pack and at least one bomber (two if stacked) will fit using that same type of box. I had 3. I think I laid the bomber down the center wrapped, stuck bottles and maybe cans in the other areas and put the "lid" on after adding packing to keep them from moving.

Every time I start putting together a box, the theme music from old school Gameboy Tetris is playing in my head.
It never fails.

Stopped in a bottle shop over lunch. Wonder what I got?
The owner of the shop assured me a 6 pack of each individual bottle or can goes for more than $9. He just packed up a mix from damaged boxes.

Yum! ;)
Not worried about that. The owner knows me by name and is typically trying to find the hard to get stuff for me. I was stopping in to see if he tracked down any FW 17...which he hasn't.

People like that are just the bee's knee's. I always try to hook up my bottle shop with out of state stuff that he can't get for just that reason.

I vote there is one Molsen XXX in there. :D

Looking forward to your review of Valley. Ordered some from craft shack. Then again, I don't think i'm gonna get my order. Been two weeks since i heard anything about my order that was placed three weeks ago

Jeremy (thisoneguy) got the point when I said I like stouts. Here's the list from the box that seemed would never end :D
